post laninectomy siatic(sciatic) pain

i just had a laminectomy at L4-5 S-1 i had a lot of back pain, walking was painful to my back. siatic (sciatic) pain was practically a non issue. i had almost no radiating leg pain. i am one ONE week out of surgery(June 19). i stared to get very very slight siatic (sciatic) pain while in hosp. and told doctor about it, he said it should go away and it was not a worry. today(June 26)over the week the pain has progressed and now this evening (of course after docs office closed it has gotten sooooooo bad that i am absolutely miserable the perocet ans oxycontin do nothing for the sudden jolts of  pain(like a cattle prod), Anyone heard of this problem happening after a back surgery?.........sorry for spelling

I also have had a laminectomy and microdiscectomy to help my back pain caused by a herniated disk at L4-5 I went in for my fist surgery being able to work withn little pain in my legs and constant moderate pain in my lower back after my first surgery jan 8 2008 I came out worse leg pain increased and back pain out of this world after a few months I could no longer work I had my second laminectomy and discectomy on may 22 2008 after that surgery and rehab I am worst than ever every day i hope  mot to wake up but I know I have a family to look after Lately I am waiting for testing and approval to try a lumbar fusion it is the only chance I have of being pain free even if I am never the same I am willim=ng to give up the dream of being the same man  before my fall by the way I'm only 24 yrs old If you would like to write about our conditions with each other please do my email is ***@**** GOOD LUCK
