prednisone

i have been on prednisone and verapamil for migraines about 15 days now. today my face started to swell and its hard to eat/drink and move my cheeks. is this from the prednisone? im going to call the dr tomorrow j/w your imput. thanks.

Hi, as far as the present symptoms are concerend, probably they are due to prednisone only. Verapamil is the drug given in prophylaxis of migraine but it can not abort the attack once it get started.

May be you need to taper the dose of prednisone as this drug is never withdrawn instantly. Do consult doctor for side effects.
