Five weeks ago I fractured my coccyx, around this time I developed pain in my hands; stiffness in finger joints (which I've rarely ,if ever, had before now). My question is: could there be a relationship? I am 58yrs old, my bone density is slightly below normal (due to  taking pednisone for lengthy period because of chronic sinusitus(discontinued 5months ago).

Hi.
Chronic steroid use can result in thinning of bones, which are prone to fractures.
Osteoporosis with osteoarthritis can present with pain and stiffness of the joints.
Fracture of the coccyx can present with pain in the pelvic area, which can be relieved with analgesics.
Calcium supplements can be beneficial.

Hi,
Yes, there could be a relationship, especially considering your age and prolonged medication of steroid. The fracture in coccyx and pain in hands could be due to Osteomyletis/septic arthritis.
Do you have irritable bowel, which could be an association.
You should see an orthopaedician at the earliest.
