Sorry I think I need to clarify....
After running a EEG i was told that my daughter has slightly slowered brainwaves in the left temperal lobe during slow wave sleep. Is there any effects from this or is it common? In the long term can it cause anything?
Hi,
Slow waves during slow wave sleep are generated in the thalamocortical neurons. Slow wave sleep is a deep sleep from which it is difficult to wake up. It is characterized by absence of eye movements, decreased body temperature, night terrors and involuntary body movements.
