spasm

Hi Guys,
I am at the end of my rope. The spasms started in my leg one day after I played tennis. Then it continued later on to my other thigh then, my lower leg, the rest of my body. They are short spasms. It’s between 2 to 5 seconds on any part of my body. At times it stops for a while then they return.
This year I have started to feel it in my left eye lid and it is almost non stop. Also I have started to feel on the left and right side of my head, not at the same time. They are not painful but I am concerned.
I have been to 3 doctors and no one can give me an answer to my question?
Can it be a brain tumor or multiple sclerosis?
Any answers?

Hello.

The benign fasciculation syndrome is said to be increased by stress. So, if you can reduce the stress, the fasciculations may also decrease in frequency. Some beta blockers and antiepileptic drugs are also useful for this.

Dizziness is not generally associated with BFS. Have you had any imaging studies done ?

Is there medication for it, and  also does it cause dizziness?. I  have already been to a nose, throat doctoer and he can find anything, except slight vertigo, but I ahve had this diziness about the same time almost 2 years, it comes and goes.

Hello.

This appears to be 'Benign Fasciculation Syndrome", if the spasms you have described are twitches. It is a harmless condition, and brought on more by stress and anxiety. But it will be a good idea to rule out MS from a neurologist.
