I had an MRI a little over a year ago because I had become unable to walk my 3 miles a day. In fact walking and sitting became so painful that after trying Percocet the doctor switched me to Duragesic with Perocet for breakthrough pain. I have pain low. . sacral.. across my buttocks to my hips and down both legs. . the left being the most affected. On the original MRI it showed spinal stenosis at L4-L5. Since January I have been worked up by a Neurosurgeon and the myelogram/CT showed some degenerative changes, the stenosis and a bulged disk at L5-S1 (to the left). He said nothing that would cause the pain I was experiencing. So I went through a serious of injections in the lumbar and sacral regions. . . no help there either. Another MRI and the doctor tells me (after I informed him that I have lost my health insurance . . am out of work a month due to pain already. . anyway told me the MRI was the same and couldn't do anything for me. Saw my PCP today and he said it showed several hemangiomas starting at L4-L5. This is a new finding. They are scheduling me to see another surgeon. If these are slow growing how is it possible it wasn't there and now it is? I had the myelogram/CT in January of this year. Any thoughts?
Hello.
Can you mention a few symptoms which were present when you first had this problem? Since when do you have the bladder bowel incontinence? It looks like you have some disease in the lumbar spine.
