stining in neck

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what could be causing a stinging sensation in my neck.  It is one particular spot, in the c6-c7 level right along my spine.  It feels like a burning/stinging and is pretty much constant.  Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hello.

Well, in that case you may reduce your exercise schedule for a couple of days and see if it helps. If it still persists, you will have to see a physician and perhaps get an MRI of the neck.

Hello.

Before we think of any nerve compression or irritation as a cause, it is important to rule out any local skin disease. If the stinging sensation has not spread to any other areas, it is likely to be a skin ailment. Does it alter in color?

Watch your sitting position at work. A faulty sitting position when you have to sit for a long time is also implicated in such symptoms.
