stress/shock and primary pontine hemorrhage

by foozle, Jan 30, 2008 02:25PM
Is there any correlation between stress, exertion, excitement, etc and the onset of a pontine hemorrhage?  I know the per se cause is hypertension, but the person I am asking about was suddenly and unexpectedly sprayed in the face with pressurized liquid while crouched down.  He fell onto his back, then stood up, threw up, said he was dizzy, sat down and passed out.  Coma ensued.  So I'm wondering if a sudden elevation of his heart-rate could have touched it off, and if blood pressure increases when a person experiences a shock?   Thank you very much for any insight.
