temporal lobe seizure

temporal lobe seizure

A year ago I experienced hypoglycemia and what was described as a partial or temporal lobe seizure. As I lay limp on the floor, unable to move on my own, my right arm and leg began flexing, bending toward my body then flexing outward. Paramedics administered glucose, dextrose and Ativan. In the ambulance I had sinus V-tach. At the hospital I had a brief visual hallucination of my dead father and grandfather, which although I could see them before my eyes, I recognized as a hallucination. The diagnosis for both the hypoglycemia and seizure was a medication reaction. I had received a local anesthetic and a single tablet of Percocet earlier in the day for a uterine biopsy. In the days following I felt fatigue and a number of neurological problems such as disassociation, deja-vu, and a distorted sense of time. In the year since, I have recognized language deficits such as transposing and substituting letters when I write and continuing to misperceive time. My question is have you ever heard of a similar case? Was it a medication reaction or is there a chance this could happen again?
