weakness/arm vibrations

by debrod01, Apr 14, 2009 06:35AM
I'm 41 yrs. old female and just 6 wks ago I was just fine.  I had been feeling a little tired so I decided to go back to the gym - I took two Latin classes and even went out jogging a few nights.  Then all of the sudden my husband told me I had bad breath and I began having a terrible bitter taste in my mouth.  Then I began feeling very tired, weak, brain fog.  From there I had days where I just felt so weak that I could hardly walk and others my legs felt ok.  Then I began feeling a vibration feeling in my upper arms.  Almost like a tremor feeling but you can't see it - I can only feel it and it's so scary.  I did have a few days where my left thumb twitched and that freaked me out.  It hasn't happened again.  My right lower leg I've had a strong burning feeling in one spot - felt that for a few days and haven't felt it today.  I do NOT have any tingling, or numbness anywhere.  Today I began have a pressure feeling on my face and I can feel some twitches on it but I know you can't see them.  My jaw also feels heavy.  I work at a preschool and I can no longer get up from a sitting position on the floor and I can no longer sit "indian style".  My arms feel so heavy and weak and always vibrating.  I can still pick things up but they feel very heavy.  I went and got some initial blood work and was told I have a low T3 so I was put on a natural thyroid medication and Iodine.  I'm still waiting for all my other blood work. I'm really freaking out because it seems like my neurological system is totally messed up and I'm getting worse almost daily.  Does anyone have any symptoms like mine?????

My nerves seem to be going crazy too.  My right middle finger twitches sometimes then it takes several days off from twitching.  Then my left arm (on the in side near my eldow) begain to twitch also.  sometimes I think it's from playing the basss guitar because a play so hard I get blood blisters on my right index and my twicthing finger quite often.  I get restless and some anxiety at night.

Hi,

The symptoms sound more like those of fibromyalgia and electrolyte imbalance – mainly caclium and magnesium. But it is necessary to rule out the brain and nerve disorders . Please go for a CT scan and MRI brain and consult a neurologist for the diagnosis . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
