what is going on with me?

i am 30 yrs old and i have never had this happen before. i've always had high blood pressure, but i took beta blockers to keep it down..they ran out and i had a few days where it was very high. i went to the ER last week and the highest reading was 183/116. i started experiencing some weird problems with my head. when i walk, the left side of head gets a tingling feeling and some numbness and i feel like i am going to fall over to my left or fall back. my left leg gets numb too. the past 2 days,i can barely walk 1/4 of a block and i feel this. i don't get headaches,i do not want to vomit,my memory seems like it always has been. my bp is under control now but i still have this thing going on. does anyone here know what it could be? i don't wanna keep going to the hospital, does this sound serious..will it get better??

Did you get an MRI in the ER?  If not, you need one ASAP.  Have you notified your physician about this?

Hi there. You need to check your blood pressure and take anti hypertensive medications regularly. It is good to know that your pressure is under control now. These symptoms need a detail spine evaluation clinically and with MRI spine to look for any prolapsed disc or bony spurs, degenerated disc causing pinched nerve or compression of exiting nerve roots causing numbness, tingling and weakness of muscles. It could be at the neck with cervical disc prolapsed and myelopathy causing lower limb symptoms. These would require NSAIDS, acupressure, epidural injection of steroids, physiotherapy and decompressive surgery when needed. Multiple Sclerosis a chronic demyelinating disorder needs to be checked for. Hope this helps.
