Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? I know head pressure has been a frequently brought up topic on health forums. I am nineteen and suffer from strange, almost debilitating head pressure daily. It is disorienting, uncomfortable, and leaves me in a "fog" all day long so that I feel like I'm not all there.
I began having panic attacks the last four months due to stress, but I KNOW the head pressure is not caused by anxiety. In example, I am perfectly calm right now and the head pressure persists. I need to get a job and get my life started but can't because I feel awful every day. When I first wake up the symptoms are at their most mild, and as nighttime gets closer that gradually get worse and worse, to where the only relief I get is lying down. I have read about the possibility of Lyme disease, intracranial hypertension (or psuedotumor), and I have read into the effects of stress on the body. Because I cannot afford our country's ridiculous medical prices, I am trying to find ways to de-stress to see if that helps. So far, however, it has not. I avoid drinking more than one cup of coffee a day and have stuck mostly to water, and I am also cutting back on smoking (I roll my own, so I also know that the head pressure is not caused by smoking). If anyone can give me any support or advice it would be vastly appreciated - I already suffer from depression and it has gotten worse tenfold since this bizarre, confusing head pressure began about a month ago.
