My dad has been suffering from severe headaches for about three months now, he had an MRI last week and it showed swollen blood vessles in his brain and white spots. The doctor ordered another MRI next week but no one will tell us anything what could this be?
Hi, it is difficult to clarify until you post exact report. As there are number of causes for white matter lesions, exact location, site and size is important to conclude. Generally ischemic (lack of blood supply) changes are seen in brain with age and also in patients of diabetes and hypertension.
How old is he and any history of diabetes or hypertension? Please relax and wait for the report.
