worried

My 14 year old son has had Mono, staff and an ear infection,in that order in the past 6 months.  He is now suffering from OCD(washing hands),depression, headaches, fatigue, neck pain.  H ehas been pretty much incompacitated during this period.  He has missed 4 months of aschool and will be left back in 9th grade next year. His pediatrician has not provided any answers.  He is running blood test for the 2nd time.  I just think he is not looking and testing for the non obvious things.  I think the next step may have to be a CAT scan.

Someone told me that Mono is inflamation of the lining of the brain and can have adverse effects like what my son is experiencing.  Can you shed some light on this or point me in the right direction?  Please
Thank you. BParks worried father.

Mononucleosis is a disease affecting not only the physical state of the organism but also the psychological part. Also known as kissing disease, can leave psychologic (but not serious psychiatric) sequelae for even a longer period of years, why? because it affects adolescents in their critical period of psychological growth.
treat him normally with outdoor activities, the weakness and daily somnolence may persist for more 2-4 months. forget about OCD, this overreaction after his sickness is not too serious untill ith will last for more than 1-1.5 year. a head CT may be needed for a regular assessment
