Starting to worry about hep c now

First off I am so grateful this forum exists. I started Zoloft about a week and a half ago and I am still waiting for it to kick in. I feel like my obsession with HIV is getting a little better, but now I am starting to worry about hep c. I think because so many people told me HIV is so hard to get and I should be worried more about hep c since it is easier to get. Now I am worried about that! I started thinking to back to July when I got a new pair of earrings. The lady at the counter asked me if I wanted to try them on first, I said no. But put them on when I got home about a half hour later. I am worried I could have gotten hep c from it, if there was blood on the earrings from a customer who did try them on. No chance for HIV right? It would have been dead already?

I have the same fear, based on different experiences but they are all very "low risk", like having a cut on my hand at the gym or stepping on the locker room floor when my foot was peeling a bit.  I am obsessed with hep c.  No medication as I don't like the effects and therapy works better for me anyway (looking for a therapist now) but I hope all is well with you.  It's funny, reading this I would say you don't have hep c but I'm still convinced I do!

Just keep hanging in there... You may have about 3 more weeks before the zoloft really kicks in and you stop thinking all these irrational thoughts.  Until that time, just keep reminding yourself it is just the OCD talking and that it is going to go away soon.  Take care of you!
