Looking forward to hearing about your positive progress! Take care.
Thanks... I'll try... And I'll let you know how it goes : )
There are some things you can try but they will more than likely cause you to have some anxiety and you need to learn to how to deal with the resulting anxiety.
That is why I recommend that you see a psychologist. They can formally diagnose you and teach you behavioral modification and ways to deal with the anxiety that will arise.
The long and short of it is that you have to stop yourself. When you see something is askew, or something isn't on the right number, you have to NOT let yourself fix it. You have to say "No" and then walk away. Obviously you don't do this all at one time. You pick small things such as a picture being crooked and you don't let yourself fix it. Self-coach yourself, yell at yourself if you have to. Then if anxiety hits and you feel the need to go back and fix it, start controlled breathing. Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for 5 seconds and count this out in your head, and let it all out through your mouth. You can do controlled breathing in any situation but if possible it is nice to lay day with your hands on your stomach so you can feel the rise and fall of it with each inhale and exhale. Keep doing this until you have calmed down. What you are going to do are baby steps. One thing at a time and you will eventually see that it's okay that things aren't in order.
Take care and do keep us posted on your progress.
