You are describing a well known, and very treatable condition,of obsessive compulsive disorder...you need to see a psychiatrist who can treat you with medication and talk therapy.

I agree, I have the hand washing obsession and other ritual and checking techniques, I see my psychiatrist fortnightly for cognitive behavioural therapy techniques  and also take 40mg of Ciprimil which is good to take for OCD beheaviours the psych I see says 60mg is common to take for OCD.  Hope this helps.  I agree I think you are over medicated.

I'm no doctor but I think you're over medicated. This is why I don't visit psychiatrists. I think too many psychiatrists just want to medicate people and collect a doctors fee. You're taking 2 SSRI (Luvox and Paxil) and an old tricyclic (anafranil) . I'm not surprised you feel like ****. I would recommend you visit a psychologist and get involved in cognitive behavior therapy (be selective) and get a second opinion from another psychiatrist to try and figure out the smallest amount of medication that will provide some relief while you do therapy.
