Resistance in opening my little finger of left hand

I am a 29 year unmarried male. I am neither skinny nor fat. I have no know medical problems till date. Since last 3 weeks, I am facing a peculiar issue with my left hand's little finger. Earlier it used to happen only in the morning after I used to wake up but now the duration has increased. The issue is that when I close all my fingers of my left hand in a fist (or for that matter even if I just close the little finger of my left hand, and then I try to open it, I find a some resistance in the little finger's 2nd joint from the top or 1st joint  from the base (don't go as per diagrams, just think like a layman). There is no pain and no swelling of any form in the left hand's little finger. I dont have this problem in any other finger. Just FYI, I have joined a gym since last 3 months an hence on wight training for standard body toning (may be it will helps u in my query). So I was just wondering what to do. Is there some problem in the bone or nerves or muscles? Whom should I consult? What can be the cause? Will it go away automatically? Does it also refers to some other disease - may be blood sugar (no family history and I am medically fit) but I dont know. What do u suggest?

This may be a trigger finger. That is thickening of on of the pulleys that hold the tendon next to the bone. Although it feel like it is getting stuck at the PIP, second, joint; the real pathology is at the base of the finger. This can respond to stretching and anti-inflammatories early on. Occassionally, corticosteroid injections are used, and for refractory cases, surgery is useful.  See a hand specialist if it persists.
