5th Metatarsal Fracture Prognosis
Hi All,
I have had a fracture on my 5th Metatarsal 3 weeks back and from the x-ray it looks like a Jones Fracture. The doctor in the Emergency Department said it wouldn't need a plaster and will heal in 3 weeks and asked to NWB and use crutches. After 3 weeks i don't have any pain if i stand on it. But after a follow up xray the doc said it is still not heald and asked me to wear a cast boot for another 2 weeks and use crutches. Want to hear similar stories to know about the outcome of this fracture and how long it will take to heal to a point i can weight bear.
