Hi,
I am a student & a working professional. I suffered a knee injury a year back a week after a back injuiry (spondylolisthesis) at L5-S1. For the spline injuiry I am continuing my physiotherapy.
Now, after a year ; my doctor says after due examination that there a complete ACL tear along with Meniscal tear & that I need to undergo a ACL replacement surgery.
I have no problem with the injuiry, but my problem is , I have my study & examinations in continuous succession for next 4 months & hence I would like to delay my surgery by 4 months.
My question is; can I delay the surgery by 4 months? If yes is it going have any sort of physical or future problems in my knee.
My present condition is I can walk, but cannot run. Sometimes (occasionally ) I feel a buckling or sideward/ backward bending symptom during twisting of my knee, which is much less when actually the injuiry occured a year back.
I have stopped all my sports activities a year back but would like to continue after due recovery time.
Request a wise help as I have to take a quick & wise decision.
