Lump growing at the side of toe - ingrown toenail

I had an ingrown nail and it became badly infected. As it got worse, a lump started growing out the side of the nail where the ingrown nail was. There was a long waiting period for a doctor to remove it so I eventually removed it myself (it was in the corner of nail bed so I had to remove the whole side of the nail).

I removed it about two weeks ago, the pain went away pretty fast and the swelling has gone down only a little bit but the lump is still there and hasn’t made any changes at all. There is also pus and blood still coming from the same area but not as much as there was when it was still ingrown.

I’ve never had the lump before when I’ve had ingrown toenails so I’m wondering what it is and what can be done to get rid of it? It’s really sore to touch but doesn’t make any other part of the toe sore.
