Can Genu Valgum be corrected?

So I'm 16 years old, I'm 183cm (6 feet) tall and I weight 114kg (252 pounds) so I'm basically obese. I'm currently loosing weight so earlier today my doctor told me I suffer from Genu Valgum and I'm in a diffcult situation as when I put my knees together there's a separation of 7 cm (2.7 inches) at the center of my tibia and 15cm (6 inches) at the base of my tibia.

So I'm currently on a diet since last week. And I wanted to do exercise so everyday I walk for 60 minutes on my treadmill and I read online about some exercises i could do to correct my genu valgum. Apparently on the last days it just got worse and I look at it and now it's super notorious. My friends are just teasing me with my legs and it hurts a lot when I walk. As I'm working on theather productions as an actor it makes me really mad people looking at my legs.

My doctor told me that I need orthopedic soles. I'm waiting for those. But he told that I just have to loose weight but he doesn't know if I can get normal legs after it. I just want my legs to be normal in less than a year. Is there any way to correct my legs?

Thanks
