Hi there!

Though a repair is possible, it is often unnecessary and not required. Conservative management is preferred for partial tears while surgery is repaired for full thickness tears. You may like to discuss the situation in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

Hello

I had a THR replacement in September 2012 & have ended up with trendelenburg gait. I have been seeing a physiotherapist since he operation & have made a small improvement. I was just wondering how you went?

Thank you

Thank you.  I am now presently seeing a Physiatrist who has suggested I get into a pool to  exersize weightless and also employ certain excersizes to perform with a theraband.  This rupture occurred following a THR  and left me with a trendelenburg gait which nicessitates the use of a walker.
My surgeon suggested a 2nd opinion and thinks cadaver tissue could be  used to suture the tendon  to solve the problem.
