Genus valgus Knee

I have a genus valgus knee and I am 37 years old. I would like to fix my knees before they get worst and the esthetic is the main problem for me right now. But, I want to know if it can be done with an arthroscopy surgery. because I hate scars so much.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Pathologic genu valgum warrants aggressive treatment to alleviate symptoms and prevent progression. Bracing and therapy are inadequate to meet these goals. You would need surgical correction and it is not possible arthroscopically.

Talk with an orthopedician specialised in Ilizarov's techniques and discuss all pros and cons before taking any decision.

Take care!
