Golfer's elbow (Medial Epicondylitis) surgery

Hi
I've been having Golfer's Elbow for 2 years now. Tried RICE, Nsaids, Physio (30 sessions), acupuncture, shock wave, Ultra Sound, massage, Cortisone (4 shots in one year), total rest for  a year now and still no results. I still have this terrible pain.
My last option would be a surgery, I read it's about 90% success, but what's troubles me that it's said that my arm will  lose about 20% of its strenght, is this correct?
Thx

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Well, this would depend on the type of surgery that would be required in the case. While Type I usually has good results, type II may not have an excellent prognosis.
Hope this information is helpful.

Take care!
