complete leg and groin numbness

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any insight on what im going through? Its kind of a long story, ill try and shorten it as much as I can..

About a year ago I participated in the AVON 39, which is a 39 mile walk to end breast cancer. I walked this a little faster than I probably should have, long story short for this even, my right hip hurt so bad during the event I was in tears every step I took... got pain killers from the medic people and kept going. near the end while trying to climb a set of stair, I had to pick my leg up with my hands. My father had to put me in the car and take me out because my leg and muscles were not working. Fell asleep on the floor in my parents house when I got back, woke up, body and muscles convulsing, they got me in the shower with warm water and stretched. Took about a month before I was able to somewhat move again.

I work at a desk all day, a few months after this event, I was walking (slowly) again. But one day I noticed that when I opened my stride to a fast walk my leg would tingle from my butt to my toes. sometimes my grain (back and front) would go completely numb at one point I thought I may loose control. I began starting to feel left facial numbness, called the doctor. they got me in for an MRI of brain and neck, everything is fine. Tested me for everything under the sun, clean as a whistle.

So, like a dumb young person, I decided to ignore everything and began weight lifting, if I couldn't walk or run I had to do something.

Fast forward about 6 months, face thing went away, I was feeling good totally forgot about the leg thing. Signed for the military (shortened officer boot camp) . Began to run again and , ****.. right leg still goes numb, completely numb to the point I cant use it. Had to go to boot camp, pushed through the pain, luckily its was mostly school work.

Present day, it has gotten a bit worse, the tingling moves to my left leg at times and my shoulder as well. I have since had an MRI of my upper back and lower, ruled out herniated/slipped disk and spinal stenosis. the bone in my right hip aches and my lower back. At first I thought I had screwed my back up with lifting but the MRI says otherwise. I have stopped doing all lifting and have resorted to as little as possible, just going to work.

The pain will begin as a tingling either in my lower back or right butt, I can never pin point it. it begins to travel down my leg, front and back to my foot. it feels like the pins and needles you get when your hand wakes up, but volume turned up, like makes me cry it hurts so bad. and, on top of that, my hip goes completely numb to the point that if I try to walk, I will limp extremely bad.

Could this be an injury from the walk that I participated in last summer? I am only 30 years old, I used to be extremely active, its crazy how quickly things can  change when your body decides to do its own thing.
