I need help interpreting my MRI of the L Shoulder

The findings of my MRI staters there are mild degenerative changes in the acromioclavicular joint with mild mass effect upon the supraspinatus tendon. There is minimal superior subluxation of the humeral head with respect to the glenoid.I understand the rest of the findings, but not sure exactly what the above translates into.
Thank you!

First things first, the Dr. who ordered your MRI should be going over this with you and explaining everthing to you and all your options.  Secondly, it sounds like you have some arthritis in your shoulder and possibly a rotator cuff tear due to the changes in your AC joint (acrominoclavicular joint).   The humeral head is migrating up.  How old are you?  Have you ever had an injury to the shoulder??

I have an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon next week. I am 49 years old and believe this all happened after shoveling snow. I am right handed and this is my left shoulder. I am in constant pain and have a lot of popping in the shoulder joint now. It hurts worse at night. I have always considered myself a person with a very high pain tolerance. I have had three children and this hurts worse than childbirth!!! Thank you for your answer.
