Lumbosacral degenerative disc & sciatica

I have lumbosacral degenerative disc, I get muscles spasms in my lower back/back, & after standing for like 30 minutes, I can go sit & my leg or legs would shake, this happens even after doing quite a bit of bending over, I am 100 pounds overweight, does the sciatic nerve run down both legs or just one?  I'm wondering about me having sciatica with those above symptoms, any thoughts would be appreciated

The sciatic nerve runs from each side of the lower spine through deep in the buttock into the back of the thigh and all the way down to the foot. It serves a vital role in connecting the spinal cord with the leg and foot muscles.

Any type of pain and/or neurological symptoms that are felt along the sciatic nerve is referred to as sciatica.

I also experience leg shakiness when I sit down on steps after doing quite a bit of bending over, I'll do some bending over for whatever reason & go to sit down & my leg or legs tend to shake. Is that considered a spasm? I have general back weakness along with the degenerative disc.
