Dear Doctor,
I am female and is 24 years old.My height is 5'4" and weight is 65 kg.I am sufferring from heal pain since 2 years. My weight used to be 54kg and i only gained weight after i got married and after i came to usa(i came in july).Last year i had been to an Orthopediatrition in India and told him about my heal pain. When i stand continuously for two or more hours,my heals will start paining. He said u might have thyroid. But after all the tests(blood and urine tests),they confirmed that its not thyroid.he said its normal pain and told me to take 'Denim' tablet whenever i get that.I hardly used those tablets, cos i don want to be use continuously.cos that pain it stays for a day and if i sleep ,the pain goes off by next day morning.Even if it sit for a long time,it goes off.
Now i started going to Gym and doing work out.I do brisk walk first.Whenever i do i wear proper workout shoes,i do streching exercise using an equipment but still i get pain in the heals and also in between heal and knees(curb part). if i continue for about 45 min without break,i wont get any pain.Another major problem is im unable to jogg continuously for more than 2 minutes. My heals will start paining ,my heartbeat rate goes up  and also i start panting .
Please help me .Please tell me wat to do to get rid of with my heals pain! With lots of hopes ,iam emailing this letter .

Thank you ,broke123.My doc dint take out an x-ray.They did blood and urine test.planning to follow your suggestion.can i inject cortizone by myself or do i need to go the doctor?I think i have to go to the doctor right!
Another question araised in my head.Is it becos of the carpet spoes or winter shoes i wear?becos u know the carpet shoes and winter shoes are soft, fluffy and spongy.i used them 24/7 except when i go out.some of my shoes r with hard sole.the sole of my workout shoes r not too soft or too hard.
I forgot to mention that i used to do Yoga long time ago, maybe a year back. Now i dont do yoga anymore but when i sit on the carpet i always sit with my knees bent and hips resting on heels. Is it because of that reason??Are my heel nerves weak?Is it the problem with blood circulation at the heel part?
I live in edison,nj.Pls help me.

i dont know if anyone actually knows why people get heel spur.
mostly women get them, so i guess it does have something to do with what kinda shoes you were.

if your doctor took an xray of ur foot... y are they doing blood work? xray will show a heel spur, its a growth thing on ur bone, doctor should clearely see it on an xray.

ortho doctor has to give you the cortizone injection. cortizone injection is made out of DEPOMEDROL and LYDOCAINE. it will not affect your body in any kind of way, unless you are diabetic.

also ask your doctor where you can get a "heel cup". its a plastic insert that goes into your shoe. it might help as well

good luck

did the orto doctor do an xray of your heels?

its really sounds like a heel spur.

a cortizone injection into the heel usually helps a lot. its paifull, but patients usually say its very worth it.

good luck
