Problem with the Back

Hi, I have been having problems for years now, Impression - multilevel diffuse disc bulges throughout the lumbar spine, most significant at L2-L3 and L5-S1.and facet hypertrophic degenerative changes, worst L5-S1.  Resultant finding are most significat at L5-S1 where there  is effacement of the fat adjacent to the exiting L5 and descending S1 nerve roots.  There is also equivocal findings of effacement of the fat adjacent tothe exiting right L3 nerve root.  Also the thoracic spine, there are disc bulges through that area and a bone island.  Do you believe I should have surgery?  I have congestive heart failure also, and a dilation on the basilar artery tip of my brain.  Thanks.

Hi, I been on all kinds of medicine fentyal etc.  I had needle injections and physical therapy, I just don't know what else to do.  I have just been watching how I walk, not making any quick turns.  I have been off so much over the years, I think they are getting sick on me at work.  I do work at a hospital and I have many doctors that are concern, and trying to help me.  I no surgery is not good, plus with the heart failure and dilation, but I am sick of being in pain.  Is there any thing else you can think of that could help?

Thanks joekaren

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
hi dear,
i don't believe in surgery till all the other measures of controlling pains are relieved.
Like medications, rest, physiotherapy.
If all these are exhausted, then surgery might give benefit.
