Spina bifida and a possible break

Hi. I have spina bifilar and very limited feeling in my lower legs and feet, earlier my foot slipped of the kerb whilst I was getting into my car. I heard a noise but cannot say if it was my trainer or a snap. It didn't hurt at the time and I have walked round the supermarket but felt it swelling and it feels strange.  Now home and I have my foot and leg elevated and it has started to hurt around my ankle and up my leg. No real swell or bruise so unsure what to do. The hospitals have enough to do with out me going and nothing been wrong.
