Rare foot pain

I broke my ankle 10 years ago when I was 14 years old. After my cast came off I noticed a large amount of blood underneath a callus on the bottom of my foot (under my little toe). After removing the callus I noticed a hole in the bottom of my foot that bled (not caused by me removing the callus too deep) I had severe pain in my little toe that seemed to be attached to this hole in my foot. For years the callus would grown and there would always be a little speck of blood underneath. I still have pain in this area when ever I stand. Could this be an exposed nerve? What can I do about it? I visited a doctor about it once and all he told me was that I walked on the outside of both of my feet and to get better shoes. I know that is not the answer. I have no idea what this problem is called and can find NOTHING about it anywhere.

Hi,
I think you feel discomfort and your symptoms are annoying then you must get your screw removed.
Apart from being a source of constant pain, they can be source of infection too.
If your bones have healed properly then I think removal of screw won't cause any fracture.
But it depends upon the placement of screw and the procedure involved in removing it.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.

Thank you so much for your advice. yes, I do have tingling and numbness in my little toe. I also have another question I am hoping you can answer: When I broke my ankle they placed a rod on the outer side of my ankle and two screws in the inner side. They removed the rod within the year and left the screws. They have always caused me some discomfort but lately it has gotten worse especially if I step wrong, I get a sharp pain. I am leery of getting them removed because I have heard that a fracture can happen after they are removed but I'm not sure if I want to live my life in this pain and discomfort. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Again

Hi,
How are you feeling?
I think indeed it could be due injured nerve accompanied with decrease blood supply. Do you have any tingling and numbness in your little toe?
I think you need to get an X-ray initially to see what the reason for pain is.
If there is no fracture on x-ray, then you can go ahead and do nerve conduction study to see for motor function of the involved nerve.
If this turns out to be inconclusive then you can try for imaging as MRI to see for involved soft tissue pathology.
I recommend you to see another orthopaedician to re-look at your disease pathology.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
