crushed foot nerve pain

2yrs ago my foot was crushed between two truck bumpers. I was told it would take about a year to heal completely and I looked forward to that time. after the year was up and I was still in a lot of pain I was told that it might take a little longer and was quickly released by the doctor. then my workers comp. sent me to a foot specialist who told me that the swelling would most likely never go down and that I will always hurt so he sends me to pain management. now this doctor wants to install a pacemaker in my back to stimulate the nerves and that might help. after all of that here is my question. is there anything else that can give me some relief that doesn't involve drugs or another pacemaker in my body. maybe some type of nerve block right now I just need something. I have manned up long enough and I am tired of hurting.
