Wrist pain after a break

In June 2006 I broke the radial head in the left wrist with very little impact. I was playing softball and another outfielder ran past me and my wrist hit his thigh and it just snapped. The 1st ortho I went to just but me in a long arm cast after setting it. I then went to a hand specialist whom was recommended to by an Occupational therapist that I work with. He said that the wrist was broke bad enough and that I should have had surgery but it was already 5 weeks out and almost healed. No my wrist is slightly out of place and I am having a lot pain. We just did an MRI to check the TFCC which is fine. My MRI's are fine. When I rotate my wrist into supination the pain increases as well as constant ache on the radial side. There is a lot of crackling and popping in there as well. What could possibly be wrong? It's driving me crazy and it is my dominant hand.

Hello,

It was a fracture of the distal radius. I am not positive on which fracture it was, the back of my hand hit a guys thigh. My wrist looked like a big ball just above the radius. When they did an MRI they also did a arthrograph. Everything came up negative. With the exception that my wrist is slightly crooked. It still aches a lot and there is still a lot of bigs pops and little crackles in it that drive me crazy. Occasionally it still swells up for no apparent reason. I can't put pressure on an open hand because it hurts way too bad. Thanks for responding to me.

Hi,
What was your initial injury following trauma? What fractures did you sustain?
A detailed clinical examination details and a current radiograph of the wrist joint would be required. Hence, it is difficult to comment about the diagnosis.
