lumbar problems. need help understanding my future

My MRI results. What do they mean? Am I disabled?
Findings: there is transitional vertebrae in which I assume for purposes of this dictation, partial sacralization of L5 vertebral body and the conus medullaris ends at T12/L1 and is unremarkable. There is spondylolysis of the pars interarticularis L5/S1. Multilevel spondylosis consisting of end plate spurring, disc desiccation, facet arthropathy.

l1/L2: no disc protrusion, central canal, or foraminal stenosis.
l2/L3: disc bulg, annular rent, mild impresses thecal sac, facet arthropathy, mild central canal stenosis.
L3/L4: disc bulge, mild impresses thecal  sac, facet arthropathy, mild central canal stenosiis .
L4/L5: mild disc protrusion, annular rent, mild impresses thecal sac, facet arthropathy, mild central canal, mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.
L5/S1: spondylolysis of pars interarticularis, minimal anterolisthesis, mild disc protrusion, mild impresses thecal sac, facet arthropathy, mild central canal, mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.
Impression:
1: transitional vertebrae, which I assume for purposes of this dictation, partial sacralization of L5 vertebral body, conus medullaris ends at T12/L1.
2: L5/S1, spondylosis of pars interarticularis, minimal anterolisthesis, mild disc protrusion, mild central canal, mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.
3: L4/L5, mild disc protrusion, annular rent, mild central canal, mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems.  Transitional L5 vertebra means that the L5 vertebra looks partially like the S1 vertebra. This could be responsible for the pain but many doctors may not agree with this theory.  You may not be responding to conservative treatments because you have narrowing of the central canal through which the cord passes and narrowing of the foramen or lumen through which the spinal nerves pass. If you undergo an EMG/NCV study you will probably have radiculopathy of L4, L5 and S1 spinal nerve roots. This is the likely cause of your pain.
If conservative treatments are not helping then you may be taken up for surgery. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
