You're welcome and thanks for the update. I hope that she will heal and be back to 100%.
Hi. Got mri results for my daughter which showed a healing fracture of th distal fibula. This is the bony part on your ankle. Because it is 6 weeks later it is too late for castng. So she continues with physio. Thanks for your help
Hi there post traumatic parasympathetic nerve damage is when the protective layer on the nerve is snapped and it takes a long time for it to regenerate but with intense physio and vitamin b2 complex it should come right.at least thats how it was described to me by a physiotherapist friend of mine. She had her 1st physio session today and it was very painful but she got through it. Mri is next thurs so will keep you updated. Thanks for your support and advice throughout this.
Oops that should be complex regional pain syndrome, not chronic....
Your poor daughter. Is post traumatic parasympathetic nerve damage like chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS)? Good for you for insiting on a MRI. I hope she gets it soon.
Thanks for the update,
achilles2
PS Please let me know how pt and the MRI go.
Was back at the hospital this morning they hav diagnosed post traumatic parasympathetic nerve damage after falling and have advised physiotherpy. I have insisted on an mri scan. Hopefully the wait wont b too long
Is there a lot of swelling? If so you might want to take her back to the hospital to make sure that not only does she have circulation but that she has not developed compartment syndrome. Even if she does not have a lot a swelling, this is not good and needs to be addressed.
