Hi there!

A knee arthroplasty literally means re-shaping and covers a wide rage of procedures of the knee joint. Patellar chondroplasty is a similar term for cartilage on the undersurface of the patella or the knee cap; while plicectomy refers to removal of the plica (fold in the membrane which lines the joint). For the exact details you would need to discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
