I can reach behind my back and touch my opposite scapula, it hurts a bit but kind of feels good. I'll look into what you suggested, thanks

Hi Daisey,
How are you feeling?
What treatment have you been now?
Can you reach behind and across the back with one hand and touch the lower opposite scapula?
Does it pain?
I think you should be doing an imaging study of shoulder joint?
As your symptoms are better with physiotherapy and analgesics suggests that it might be Shoulder Impingement syndrome.
I think you need to consult an orthopaedician and decide regarding further line of management.
Keep me informed.
Bye.

pain is in the front and back of my right shoulder, (rotator cuff area I think) and also the shoulder blade is where it pops, my shoulder never gives way, it hurts most of the time, It was sore when I went to bed but less sore this morning, so I guess daily normal activities make it worse. My back cracking also I believe causes my sturnum to hurt, occassionally crack even. The pain was worse a couple of months ago, but with massage and exercise I keep it down but never really goes away. the shoulder has hurt for 2 months, I've got physio and massage for it. No imaging studies though. I hope this helps, any other questions just ask

Hi Daisey,
How are you feeling now?
Any patient who comes with query of shoulder pain, the differential diagnosis of common causes includes the following four entities:
1. Impingement syndrome and rotator cuff disease. 2. Rotator cuff calcific tendonitis.
3. Biceps tendonitis. 4. Superior labral anterior posterior (SLAP) lesions,
Before I proceed I would like to know few things.
Where is your pain actually? What movements, if any, exacerbate your pain?
Does your shoulder ever give way? Did your shoulder previously have pain, but is now only stiff?
How long have you had your shoulder pain and have you tried anything to help it?
Any imaging studies which are been done. I would be interested to know.
Bye.
