this happens 24/7

i have been having grinding, popping, and cracking in my kneck for years now, and if it does not crack i will get a migrane.  if i move my head in any way it will feel like something is messed up in my kneck and then it will crack, and relieves the pressure.  this happen every day all day long and if it is so stiff that it does not crack i will have even more pain.  sometimes when it cracks it seems like it is the back of my head that has just cracked, and then, if i have a migrane that day, it will take some of the pain away.  it is a costant battle that i am in with the cracking, it is taken over my life.  can anyone tell me if they know what my problem is?

Due to my cervical spine inury  I have muscle spasm in the back of my head, and the cracking sound when I move my head a certain way. I also suffer with a lumber spine injury all this occurred in  janurary of 2008 there has been ongoing pain. The workers comp doctor that my Attorney sends me to seem uncarrying, they try to send you back to work knowing that your injuries are serious.  Now I'm seeing another workers comp doctor and he has put me in workshop therapy. Sitting, standing, and walking is very difficult for me, if I push my self my left leg hurts and i start walking cripple. Because if my cervical spine injury I cannot fill out paper work by holding my head down to long, this will cause swelling of the neck and pain so how am I going to fill out an application.  My Primary care physican has taken me off work, but that is good for SSD benefits. But you still have to see your IME doctors for you workers comp benefits.  I  pray every day not just when things go bad but also when things go good and  I trust Jesus because he is the only one that can open doors for you as you stand for your rights.

judging from your picture you dont look old, probably early onset cervical vertebral arthritis, try cutting down to "popping" once a day seeing as it does help relieve pain you dont want to put yourself through hell just to stop popping your neck, you should go and get an upper spinal X-ray
