tired of having sore groin

I have limited range of motion in my left hip. Sports med doc said its the start of arthritis. It really bothers e getting in and out of a vehicle alot. Mt ortho doc say its too early for hip replacement. My physiotherapist says the xrays look like slight beginning of hip arthrtis, but she said she is not an expert. If it hurts now when it hardly shows up on xray, how painful is it going to be later. When i squat to pick something up, it hurts to get up. Does anyone else have this much pain? sometimes, I can hardly walk very much it starts to hurt. If I wgo shopping for a couple of hours, I'm pretty much limping by that time. Anybody out there feel like this, and what do we do?

You guys sound like you are having the same issues as I am.  I was diagnosed with Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI).  Doctors have only known about it for a few years.  You need to find a FAI specialist.  Most doctors have never heard of this.  The can fix it with a scope or an open surgery.  Check out the link below, it is a yahoo group for this condition.  If I was you 2 I would find one of the recommend specialist there because they are the top hip doctors.

hi hashi, It sounds like the same problems Iam having. Iam 46 yrs old and the Doc says I need to wait aleast two yrs before hip replacement.  I can ride a bicycle for miles but I cant walk a block.  I have alot of stiffness in groin area and knee pain mostly at night when Iam trying to sleep.
All I can say is hang in there.
