Last May I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst on my left ovary, it was 5.6 cm. They have been monitoring it since then. Recently I had an ultrasound done, it was so painful. It's still about the same, it's about 6cm. I've been recommended to do a laparoscopy to remove the cyst since I am having constant pain. My periods are irregular, and with constipation. Back in 1999 I have two ovarian cysts , one on each side- the only solution that was told to me was to have open surgery, so I did, I had two surgeries in one year.
AFter the second surgey in 1999, the doctor told me if I didn't have children then , that I couldn't have any in the future.
Is this true? I am scared that all my life I am going to continue to have ovarian cysts and I won't be able to get pregnant. What should I do? I feel helpless.
In 1999 I was told to have open surgery to remove the cysts but know I am being told I need a laparoscopy? Is that right?
