99% club for me--yippee!!

Hi all, just wanted to follow up & let you know that I just got my pathology report back today & the doc said that everything is ABSOLUTELY fine on my ovarian cyst biopsy report!  I CAN DO THE HAPPY DANCE now!  I'm recovering from surgery I had on Friday to remove a rather large cyst on my left ovary & at times I felt like a Mack truck hit me in the stomach afterward, but things are easing up.  So, does anyone know that since I have my period now from the surgery whether I'll still get my period in two weeks like I was supposed to?  I'm hoping that this will be the one for the month & that I'll be good til the next cycle now.  Thanks for all your advice & feedback!

Hi, thank you for your note congratulating me on the good news I received.  I am SURE you will get good news too, as 99% of cysts are diagnosed as benign.  I also had an aunt on both my mother's & father's sides that had cancer; one of the cervix & one of the colon & I was a nervous wreck over this ovarian cyst that I recently had taken out.  The doctor kept re-assuring me that based on my CA-125 test & the numerous ultrasounds & cat scan I had done that the cyst was benign, but I am MUCH more comfortable now knowing that the pathology report came back with negative results too.  I wish you the best of luck on your outcome & just said a prayer for you that everything turns out just fine with you too.  Keep me posted.
