Worried about cysts and pain

What are the chances of cysts turning into cancer?  I'm 54 yo, and not in meno yet., I'm still getting symptoms of ovulation at times and pain in my belly that can last for 2 weeks till I get my period. Also have prolonged periods/fibroids, bad cramps, etc. Been tolerating this for years and the progesterone pills don't help much. a recent(2 months ago) pelvic MRI disclosed cysts on both ovaries (1.5 cm on right one)and fibroids. Should I ask for a CA125 test and how accurate is this test anyway? I've been having right sided pain for 2 weeks now- this has happened when I was younger and the doc at that time told me I had a ruptured cyst. But I'm nearing age 55 and scared of getting cancer as the chances increase with age.

Have you had any ultrasounds? These are the best imaging to look at the ovaries.Your cysts are quite small<also don't think cysts turn into cancer (but not sure). An ultrasound(both kinds) will give a better idea as to whether it is fluid filled, solid or both which will help them try to diagnose.CA125 test is notoriously unreliable although most doc's will want you to have one..read my post way down under "ca125 accuracy"
hope this helps.
