hi i was 27 when i had my cyst and ovary removed i was also pregnant at the time and had a beautiful, perfect little girl and also had a normal delivery. i then had twin girls 2 years later!(all teenagers now, help!)some of the ladies having the menstrual problems will be older than you and may be heading for the menopause, your other ovary will take over. i would suggest you wait a little longer than 1 month post op before trying to conceive, make sure your body is in tip top condition to give the pregnancy the best start, making sure your iron levels and vitamins etc are all back to normal. i know every pregnancy is different but i had dreadful morning sickness and i wouldnt like to have had this whilt trying to get over the op. dont panic about losing fertility or running out of time you have plenty of time, its more important that you stay relaxed. the worst bit is the waiting for the operation. good luck.
Welcome! Yes, your other ovary will take over, but it may take a few months. Do not be surprised if you have temporary surgical menopause. This will go away once your remaining ovary has kicked in. Also, several women on this site can tell you that they got pregnant with less than a whole ovary. Our bodies are truly amazing! Good luck and keep us posted. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Godspeed
