Just remember that docs have to cover themselves from possible malpractice for a missed call so they always seem to make it sound worse than it is, especially when they write it in medicalese. It sounds like he thinks a couple of the things are just cysts but has concerns about the rest --- don't panic until your doctor translates to you -- you may end up wasting energy panicking when you don't have to ---
Good luck to you and your mom ---- Jeanne
I agree with both ladies opinions. her Dr. should be able to put it into layman's term for you. Maybe some one else on here will have a better idea what it all means. i would hate to say what I think it is saying and be wrong and possibly cause more harm to you or stress than you already have. Good luck, please keep us posted....~~~Joanne
Of course you are scared, it is only natural. And it is too bad that the pathology reports cannot be made in a language that we can understand as many times they sound much worse than they really are.
When your mom goes to the Dr, I am sure that you will go with her so take with you a list of questions that you want answered.
In the meantime, as hard as it is, try not to worry as it will only upset you more. Instead try to remain hopeful and positive. As Marie said, there are many treatments available should the outcome be cancer.
I am sorry that I cannot help you more in explaining the path report but also like Marie, I still do not understand my own.
I wish your mom the very best and let us know what you find out.
Chris
I understand that you are scared. Have the docs explain everything in language you can understand. My pathology was horrible and I am still here. There is always hope and there are many treatments to try. I wish you both the best. Marie
