There is no link between outcome and ca125 reading. Meaning high ca125 doesn't lead to less sensitive to chemo comparing to low ca125 patients. It actually is a very reliable way to watch chemo effect by monitor ca125 instead of scan.
Your whole family will have to adjust your dx, your now normal. My 2 girls was 15 and 9 when I was dx, now they are 19 and 13. They just mature a bit faster. Give them time to think to digest all the info, your situation. It is OK to cry, to let it out. Please don't let your mind drop into that hole, call your friend to talk it out.
I'm so glad you are home, there is no place like home.
Love you

Thanks Ladies...I came home today...feeling lousy, crying for no reason...a stinking mess...I asked about a ca 125...the resident who answered me stated she had never seen one so high...3500....does this mean anything? It IS so much to take in...now everyone knows, telling my boys, the worst...Iam going to be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight :0)
Nothing more I can add that the others haven't said. Glad you found us and you're very welcome to come back any time with questions or just to find a listening ear. Sending lots of positive and healing thoughts your way.

Hi Denise,
I am so sorry to hear of your dx. I don't have any answers because I am going down the road to where you are now. I just wanted to say that jun is right. Please slow down, rest and take care of yourself. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Denise: Very sorry to hear your dx. I totally understand what your brain and mind is going through right now since I have been there about 4 years ago. There are so much information you have received, have to process and to find the best answers to all of them in such a short time. Please please slow it down, the most important right now is to have a good rest, to recover as much as possible to face chemo.(please don't think about reinsurance at all, the only thing it does is to add more worry to your mind. Be very very positive). It is very normal to be scared just like all of us since it is the first time for you. I would recommend to tell your best find who can help you to handle the rest, so you can have all your mind in recovering, not gooling on net, not right now. You just had Surgery 2 day ago. Please rest, recover. You will and you can deal with all the question later. We are more than happy to help you one way or another. Don't be embarrassed to call for help form your friends, they just don't know how to, in what way.
Hope it help calm your mind a little! Please go back to sleep!
Peace and Love

Hey there....you are at a very scary place right now and until you get all your test information back you won't know exactly what is going on.
Once your doctor gets your pathology report back you and he/she will be able to sit down and figure out where you go from here.
Chemo is not fun but it is doable. There are many, many of us out here who have done it or are still doing it.
You were very wise to get a gyn/oncologist to do your surgery....way too many of us miss that very important first step.....so, you are getting started on the right foot.
Waiting is not easy, but right now, all you can do is wait until your pathology reports are back, and, then talk with your gyn/onc.
There are many women here who can relate to you and will share their stories.....we are all here for each other.
I am glad you found us.
Peace.
