OVCA awareness

Hey, I am semi-new here, i have a posted a few times, but I am a loyal reader, it just makes me feel better.  I am 24 and believe i have reoccuring hemmoraghic cysts.  Lately it seems everywhere i look i see something about OVCA....isnt it just weird how when you have something on your mind its all you see!!!  Anywayz, i went to get my ears pierced this weekend at the mall, and the store i did it at was selling bracelts, ribbons and had a donation cup for OVCA, i bought a ribbon..but i just wondered if it is "awareness month" or are people finally seeing this as something that needs more attention? Whatever the reason im glad!

Ovarian cancer is being more noticed mainly because leaders and important figures have been affected or like Coretta King, died.  Regardless, it is a wonderful thing that it is finally getting attention.

This is true.  When someone important or famous ovca, it is a big deal.  When Gilda was dxd, it made the news, but after a while no one noticed.  Maybe we can take the momentum and keep it going.  Together we will be a force to be recond with!!

I think Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is in September.  I believe that's what my mom said the other day.  September 2005 was when she was in the hospital.  She started receiving chemo back in September.
