What does this mean?

I have a 6cm tumor on my left ovary and am having it removed in a couple of weeks. My dr does not feel it is cancer by the ultrasound. She said it has lots of walls and it bleed and has discoloration. I have had a lot of back pelvic and leg pain. I also feel pressure on my bladder. My primary care dr sd it waS not a bladder infection but i do have micoscopic white and red blood cells in my urine.
What does this mean and are the two conneted?

Hi ,

It sounds to me that the cyst is a complex one being as it has lots of walls or compartments , I had this type of cyst related to my endometriosis and depending where they are situated they can cause all sorts of symptoms eg , frequency , pain , including leg and back pain . When a cyst is over 5cm in size they are usually surgically removed . I don,t know anything about the blood cells in your urine but someone else will hopefully come along with knowledge of this . Hope all goes well for you , take care love Angie xx

Angie is correct saying cysts 5 cm and up are routinely  removed.  You didn't say who your surgeon will be.....YOU HAVE ONLY ONE CHANCE TO GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME......you absolutely must be referred to a gyn/oncologist for an opinion and that is the person you want to perform your surgical procedure.  It is not possible to know whether a growth is benign (though most are benign.....98 - 99% are benign) or malignant until it is biopsied during surgery.  A gyn/oncologist is a specialist in this arena.  Don't take a chance...get a referral to a gyn/oncologist.  I can't respond to the blood cells in your urine....there is bleeding somewhere......talk with a gyn/oncologist.....surely he/she would have an idea.  Please do stay in touch.
Peace.
