Have you tried to go to the manufacturer. I don't know who makes Avastin, but I do know they have a patient assistance program. Look into it,I'm not sure of the steps you'll have to do or what you night need from your Dr.,but it's worth a shot. Good luck,I'll keep your wife in prayer~~~~Joanne

Edmolly,
Can you contact someone at the MDAndeson hospital in Orlando or even Florida Hospital - they were running a trial program I believe at Florida Hospital. If I can find that information, I will post it.
My Dr. contacted my Insurance company first to see if they would cover me on Avastin. Maybe you should look into who would the Dr be first, and meet with them on this, before you go ahead with your plans.
So far, I had my third Avastin with Cytoxan, and my CA numbers keep going up. But I am feeling good.?
I can't help with the doctor question I just wanted to say I am happy the avastin combo works for her. It is encouraging to me to hear something works even after the docs had given up. Marie
