Chemotherapy and hair loss

I have started oral chemo about 2 weeks ago. I have mainly felt kinda nauseas and tired. My hair is kinda thinning a little. The doctor put me on one with the least side effects. My question is, will I lose all my hair? Is it true that everyone who does chemo will be bald? One person told me for some people it is and some people don't lose all their hair, just some.

We all react differnt to differnt chemos, just like all of our cancers are different. You don;t say which chemo you are on, so it is kind of hard to say. I have been told I would lose my hair with several chemos but only have lost it 3 times. The last 2 times I really do not think that it would have all feel out, but it thinned so much that I did not like the way it looked and went ahead and shaved it off. Not bald just like a crew cut. And it just grew on back in. I think you will just have to wait and see how yours does and decide what you want to do with it.

It is very true you may not loss all of your hair depend on what chemo you are taking and how much you are taking.  Not all the patients who take chemo will be bald in the other word.  I was totally bald when I was on IV/IP taxel and cisplatin for 6 cycles, but I was just thin out when I was on consolitation chemo( taxel  IV only) for a year

Peace and love
